Random Thoughts – 8/14/14

Nostalgia dreams of warm snow.

Nothing is scarier than a rental RV with fresh dents parking next to you in the dark.

Today I saw a coyote, a peacock and a yak. Only one was fenced in.

Mr. Ed is saddled up and ready to go.
Old car

Lying right next to the trail was this late 50’s wreck of a car. Muddy ground prevented further identification.

Turkeys

Those are wild turkeys crossing the path. A minute later they were followed by a coyote. Just as the coyote crossed the path a couple on bikes came around the corner. They stopped at the rest area I was at and the woman commented that she was told this was a nature trail and all they’ve seen so far is that big gray dog. When I told her it was a coyote she shrieked at her husband, “My God we could have been killed!” I pointed out that the coyote was busy tracking the turkeys, so she blew her very loud horn and scared the birds away. Leaving the poor coyote hungry.
