1987 Suzuki Samurai | Mecum

Suzuki SamuraiThe Suzuki Samurai is the ultimate toad.

For those of you who aren’t RV’ers, a toad is a small vehicle that is towed behind your motorhome. The Suzuki Samurai is great because of its tinyness, ruggedness and the fact that its odometer doesn’t roll when it’s being towed.

The question is will all that add up to a sale at a classic car auction? After all it’s hardly a classic and many would argue that it’s hardly a car. It’s underpowered, overly tippy and about as comfortable as an earthquake simulator.

On the good side, it will take you wherever you want to go, as long as you’re not in any kind of a hurry. Also, seeing the recent jump in Toyota Land Cruiser prices maybe the Suzuki can ride the inflationary coat tails.
