100 Words – Industrial Archaeology

Some call it junk-picking. I call it an Industrial Archaeology. Someone needs to document for future generations the bizarre habits of the motor age peoples. An age whose rise to prominence and decline were both marked by great plagues. A century of stupid consumerism.

I won’t bother you with the history of the vehicles. That’s been covered to death elsewhere. My particular interest is discovering the origins and unholy horrors of the George Foreman Grill Cult. Many people have speculated how people were tortured with these so-called grills. All the while pretending that it was a harmless cooking device. Barbarians!
