- Much better tonight. No more depression. The new job is working out well. Despite
the commute, I'm doing much better. Tonight's set was still off from what I'm capable
of doing. I got some good laughs and made connections with the audience, which I have
not been doing lately.

- Didn't get up tonight. Got there late because I got suckered into watching the XFL
championship game. Much sucky football to be sure. But a pile of good comedians. Also
got to see The Fresh Robots. They are even funnier than the were the last time I saw them.
They have gone from being good to being very good. They aren't "GREAT" yet, but they are
well on their way.

- Had a rough set tonight. I was scheduled to go up fourth, So that should have been
about 9:20. I went up second at 9:05. I wasn't prepared. Fifteen minutes may not seem
like much, but I spend about ten minutes visualizing my set and hyping myself up. Without
that, and the fact that audience I talked into the show were not back from drinks yet.
Besides that I got some good laughs. I tried too hard to make my routine fit. Besides
the rough set, I had fun tonight. Good comedians and got to talk to some fun people.
Weird thing tonight. Trough some odd circumstances I am now responsible for booking a
real monthly comedy show. It's great because I can help my comedy friends get some
exposure and even some money. On the other hand it has made me understand much better
bookers I have dealt with in the past. I have to differentiate between comedians that
I think are funny, and comedians that an audience will think are funny. Hopefully that
isn't a very wide gap.
